
French gipsy, jazz guitarist, was born in 1978. During his childhood, his father, a fan of jazz and guitarist, already took him along to see the concerts on the “Chope des puces”, a very famous place for the french gipsy jazzfrench musicians.These magics musicals afternoon operates instantaneously; for Aurélien it will be the guitar and nothing else. Much more than child’s whim, it is a true hobby to an age where the other gipsy children prefers to play with a ball whith our friends. In the family, the life is rocked by the old discs: Django Reinhardt and “Hot Club De France”. Aurélien starts to learn all the contents from ear. On the first time, the melody and harmony, then more tardily Django’s solos. On this way, he will forge the base of his technical and his own improvisations. Each year, Aurélien goes to the Django festiva l in Samois-on-Seine where amateurs and professionals give themselves rendevous. There, he developing his playing playing. The music of Django is not his lonly source of inspiration. Many musicians already developed their own style while remaining on the “Hot Club” style. Also the swing of Tchavolo Schmitt, the Andalusian ardour of Raphaël Fays, the purity virtuoso of Stochelo Rosenberg, the musical genius of Dorado Schmitt, the creativity of Angelo Debars, and the talent of Romane, moderated the Aurélien’s style throughout its training.Among the many formations whith he works, we can see a very long cooperation with the violonist Shàrl Dragan for twelve years. They’ ve founded the group Tarné Spilari. but also the TiFrère guitarist of the “Ziegler quartet” during two years, and the group “Am Ketenes” with which he appair at Samois-on-Seine jazz festival off, at the “Swing 41” Salbris festival and he records a disc with them. The meeting with Frederic Manoukian (leader working with Guy Marchand) who caused the recording a song “Django style” in the last album.
